Piano Teacher

Piano and keyboard lessons available for everyone, young and old. I aim to encourage you to play pieces of music you actually like. My aim is to teach the basics so that you can play a broad range of music pieces, and learn some you have always wanted to play. I also teach beginners towards the earlier graded examinations with reputable boards of music such as Trinity and ABRSM. I encourage students to be proactive in their listening to music, and believe that playing a large selection of music at the varying grades makes a more exciting, fun experience with the piano, or keyboard. Lessons are not restricted to just examination pieces and the required scales, arpeggios, but are enriched by playing a wide range of pieces, with focus on the kind of music each student likes.

Have you ever heard a song and thought I would love to be able to play that, but do not want to spend years learning the piano, and going up the grades to get there.

My lessons are happy to focus on the music of your choice.

I specialise in teaching the basics of piano, from novice pianist children to rusty adults who wish to polish up on the piano, or keyboard. I aim to keep lessons lightly structured, with emphasis on music and enjoyment.

As a new Piano Teacher, I am mid Teaching Diploma, and being mentored by MK’s excellent pianist, and teacher Dawn Down. I hope to welcome all beginners, and encourage and guide all ages, with my positive, and patient approach.
